These fittings have a thinner wall thickness than that of Schedule 80 and are meant for relatively low pressure water and approved chemicals. Commonly used in piping systems in all types of industries, schedule 40 pvc fittings are for use with schedule 40 PVC pipe.

Biological - PVC is resistant to corrosion causing bacterial growth and fungi, and is suitable for use with potable water. 

Chemical Reistance - PVC pipe has an excellent resistance to a very large selection of chemicals including salt solutions, most acids, alchohols, halogens and alkalis. If you would like to know any specific resistances, contact us. 

Fire Rating - PVC has exceptional fire performance. PVC won't burn unless it is exposed to an outside flame source, thus making making it a self extinguishing material. With an ignition temperature of 730°F, PVC pipe meets many building code restrictions. (always consider your specific building code)
